We were delighted to recognise and celebrate outstanding contributions at our recent Staff Party held at each hotel. The parties represented an opportunity to unwind after a busy festive season, give thanks to each and every team member for their contributions last year and announce our annual awards.
Each hotel chose an employee of the year and a team of the year, with Ashdown Park and The Grand Hotel also selecting a leader of the year.
The 2023 honour roll is as follows;
ASHDOWN PARK HOTEL & COUNTRY CLUB
Employee of the Year - Dylan Jones
Dylan made a significant contribution to the Conference & Banqueting department in 2023, improving internal processes to better serve our guests. Dylan has recently been promoted to interim C&B Manager as a reflection of all his efforts.
Leader of the Year - Kevin Ramalingum
Kevin was nominated by his peers as a well-respected and reliable team player. Kevin supports his colleagues and consistently seeks opportunities to improve the guest experience. As a result of his efforts, Kevin has recently been promoted to Deputy General Manager.
Team of the Year - Finance
Finance won this award by providing excellent service to the hotel with a positive can-do attitude in all their endeavours.
THE GRAND HOTEL
Employee of the Year - Lou O’Kill
Lou won this award as a reflection of his valuable contribution to several key maintenance projects in 2023. Lou collaborates with other departments and his professionalism, dedication and positivity have contributed to the success of the hotel.
Leader of the Year - Jason Hill
Jason stepped up to the Deputy Manager’s role during 2023 and has provided great support to the whole team at the hotel. Jason’s hands-on approach is appreciated by team members and guests equally.
Team of the Year - Housekeeping
The Housekeeping team deservedly won this award after rising to many challenges during 2023. Consistent standards of excellence have been regularly noted by guests on review sites throughout the year.
TYLNEY HALL HOTEL & GARDENS
Employee of the Year - Sasha Mikheiev
Since joining the hotel in June 2022 where she worked in Housekeeping, Sasha has now progressed to the Lounge & Bars department where she has provided wonderful service and support to both guests and colleagues. A well deserved winner.
Team of the Year - Reservations
The Reservations Team won the award after contributing positively to the hotel’s performance throughout 2023 and always being on hand to help guests with their bookings in a positive, polite and professional manner.
