What is a GEM?
- providing an exceptional customer experience – that surpasses guest expectations by doing that little bit extra - as acknowledged in a letter or review - identified by a Senior Manager
- Performance above and beyond the call of duty.
- Making it safe for guests and colleagues recognising a health and safety issue and personally ensuring it is effectively dealt with.
- Supporting and helping a colleague – eg going out of your way to assist a colleague either with their workload or a particular issue.
- Identify a potential money saving or revenue generating opportunity.
- Exceptional Upselling achievement.
- Completion of a special piece of work or project beyond an employee’s normal job scope.
